Carsten Pieper "Inspired by the prog rock boom of the early 70's." they say in the liner notes and that certainly is true, not only concerning the music but also the artwork. So, lovers of early-to-mid 70s prog, don't hesitate, this is for you!
The album doesn't feel completely retroprog, though, especially in the last two album tracks where I seem to sense some new-wave influences, too. Favorite track: Feel You Pulsing.

paliojen_black Outstanding! Don't sleep on this one... killer, imaginative prog, crisp production and bass guitar is featured right up front in the mix. Highly recommended. Favorite track: All For The King.

TheEliteExtremophile If you’re looking for a creative, engaging album heavily inspired by--but not derivative of--the early ‘70s prog scene, Return to the ‘E’ would make a strong addition to your library.

And in times Of sure demise No one can start to imagine Tall demands Short insight How can we even imagine Start the fire Kindling of ice How cold my feet are this morning Build a ship Hefty with stone Travel the world in its glory Carrying wind A feather to stone All for The King All logic is gone All for The King All for His pride Bow to His feet Give Him your wife Kiss the many rings Fit upon His hand Forests and fields Give Him your land

The whale is full The sail is torn The waters tainted by the blood of the rhythm And every beast Is crying out For a return to the first dawn The operator losing his value A ticking time bomb set to go off The carousel’s done running in circles The horses are heading for the abyss Wait and time will gobble up your life Seize all - be flourishing When the leaders bleed, children exhibit glee Every little lashing driving us deeper still If time is money and money is evil And nature’s nearly obsolete When all purity’s gone It’s gone Which warlock is responsible for this?

Empty trails Cold at night Howling wind Path divides I stay left You stray right I now see Sunny skies You're in deep Deep in mud Earthquake comes Opens wide Central heartbeats Ever beating It’s slowly fading The more we’re apart Central heartbeats Ever beating I wanna feel it With you in my arms Central heartbeats Ever beating It’s dissipating Each step of the mile Central heartbeats Ever beating I wanna feel you The beat of your heart

MOVEMENT I. Aghast, The Judicious Perpend Subscription Amidst a Trigon of Madness Hold still until karma has a chance to actuate The rotting public with their eyes on the nimblest ways to a swindling life They’re just filling days with falsehoods masked in survivalist plans So, the pot is boiling now MOVEMENT II. An Epiphany Inherited ‘ere The Retirement of The Unpregnant Stars of the province Stand tall while cleansing all Silenced, decry Proud and proper Seize all fiendish scum Triumphant response The city’s out of control Still and fulfilled Are we not but a step away from it Cataclysmic calendar Just X’ing out the days So I’ll keep pushing Puzzled place, keep skirmishing The sweep is just around the bend So now the creatures run free Able to drink from the stream Joyful amidst all the trees In a return to the “E” MOVEMENT III. Let The Seraphs Particoat The Earth Angel boys and saintly girls Let the seraphs particoat the earth
